I was at the local library, and the woman who was helping me saw me checking out the book containing this recipe. She said she had made this recipe and took it to her church for a covered-dish affair, and the people really liked it!

Cabbage au Gratin

1 med. head cabbage, shredded (2 qts.)
1 can cream of celery soup
1/4 c. milk
1 c. grated American cheese
1 c. soft bread crumbs, buttered

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Cook cabbage in boiling, salted water 10 minutes. Place in oblong baking dish. Blend soup, milk and cheese. Heat until cheese melts. Pour over cabbage. Top with bread crumbs. Bake 10-15 minutes.
