Seven Layer Salad rec.food.cooking/Pulliam-Schiele/1999 Servings: 6
1 large lettuce -- torn into bite size pieces 1/2 cup celery -- chopped 1/2 cup onions -- chopped 1/2 cup green pepper -- chopped 1 package frozen peas 3/4 cup sour cream 3/4 cup mayonnaise 1 tablespoon sugar 2 cups cheddar cheese -- shredded 8 slices bacon -- cooked, crumbled
Blend together mayonnaise and sour cream. Set aside. Over lettuce, layer celery, onions, green pepper and peas. Pour mayonnaise mixture over all. Sprinkle sugar on top and layer with shredded cheese. Sprinkle bacon over all. Do not mix. Cover and refrigerate.
