Simple Yellow cake

This is an easy, very tasty cake.

2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup milk
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour one 13x9x2-inch pan or two 8-9 inch pans.

Beat all ingredients on low speed, scraping sides, 30 seconds. Beat on high 3 minutes. Pour into pans.

Bake 13x9-inch pan 40-45 minutes 8 or 9-inch pans 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pans if desired; cool completely.
