CREAM CHEESE BARS Makes 24 (2-inch) squares
1 egg, separated 2 (8 oz.) pkg cream cheese, softened 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 cups sugar, divided 2 (8 oz.) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough 1/2 cup chopped pecans 1 tsp. cinnamon
Mix egg yolk, cream cheese, vanilla and 1 cup of sugar.
Stretch 1 package of crescent rolls to fit 9x13-inch pan.
Spread cheese mixture over rolls. Cover with other package of crescent rolls stretched to fit.
Beat egg white until fluffy. Brush on rolls.
Combine remaining 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and pecans. Sprinkle on top.
Bake at 350F for 30 minutes, cut into squares. |
