Morning Banana Bread

2 1/3c. flour
1 c. walnut halves
1 c. dried cranberries
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. mashed ripe banana
2 tsp.vanilla
2 large eggs
1 c. melted butter or margarine
1 c. buttermilk

Mix flour, nuts, cranberries, powder, soda, and salt. In a large bowl, mix sugar, banana, vanilla, and eggs until well blended. Add butter and buttermilk. Mix well. Add flour mixture to bowl and stir until evenly moistened. Butter and flour dust a nonstick 10 inch decorative tube pan. (Loaf pans can be used as well) Pour batter into pan.

Bake in a 350 degree oven until inserted knife comes out clean, about 1 hour. Cool 15 minutes before removing bread from pan. Serve warm or cool.
