Apple Pork Chops

2 Tbsp. veg. oil
1/2 c. chopped onion
4 (1/2 in.thick) pork chops
1/2 tsp. salt
pepper to taste
2 apples-peeled, cored & sliced
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp.ground mustard
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
3/4 c. hot water

Preheat oven to 375F
Heat oil in large skillet.Saute onion in oil for 1min.Removeonion and set aside.Brown pork chops on both sides.
Place chops in 9x13 baking dish and sprinkle with salt & pepper.Cover with the apples and cooked onion.
In a small bowl,combine brown sugar,mustard,cloves and water.Pour over chops.Cover and bake for 30 to 45 min.
