I got this recipe many years ago from a restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and have made it many times since.

It's super-rich and super-easy.

Chocolate Natillas
Serves 4 (may be doubled or tripled)

6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons crème de cacao
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup heavy cream
whipped cream (garnish)
additional cinnamon for sprinkling

Melt chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl set over boiling water or in a microwave oven. Stir in crème de cacao and cinnamon. Let cool slightly. Add heavy cream (not whipped!) and mix well. Chill in individual dessert dishes. Serve topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with additional cinnamon.
