Double Chocolate Crisps Source: Best of Country Cookies Makes 48
1 cup butter -- softened 2 cups sugar 2 eggs 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate -- melted and cooled 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 1/4 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips 1 cup chopped pecans
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in chocolate and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Gradually add the creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Drop by tablespoonfuls 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake in a 375 degree oven for 10-12 minutes or until tops are cracked. Remove to wire racks to cool.
