Apple Pie Cake

1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 1/2 cup diced apples
2 tsp. hot water
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together the sugar and butter. Mix in the egg. In a seperate bowl mix the dry ingredients. Mix the dry ingred. into the wet ingredients. Stir in nuts, apples, water and vanilla. Spread in a 9" well greased glass pie pan. Bake at 350 for 45 min. Good served with ice cream.
