Hot Salsa Dip
rec.food.cooking/Mary Jo Brue/1995

To make a super hot dip, spread 8 oz of cream cheese in the bottom of a casserole dish or pie plate, grate some onion on top, pour a jar of picante salsa over the top, grate 8 oz. of monterey jack cheese on top of that.

Bake it at 350 for 15 or 20 minutes, until everything's all bubbly and the cheese is melted nicely. Serve with tortilla chips.

You can also add meat to this and it's great: brown a pound of ground meat, then add a package of taco seasoning. Layer the meat between the onion and the salsa.
