Papaya Sherbert
1 juice of papaya (or nectar-or very ripe papaya, processed-about 1 1/2 cups) juice of 2 oranges 1 lemon 1 cup sugar 2 cups cream (heavy cream) Puree papaya in blender. Add orange and lemon juices and sugar. Blend well. Blend in cream. Pour into freezer tray. Freeze overnight. Stir once during freezing. (do it in the ice cream machine & follow the instructions of the same.
*you can add 1 teaspoon of white vanilla, for added flavor.
VARIATION: Substitute 1/2 cup pineapple juice or crushed pineapple for orange and lemon juices.
