Homemade Turkey Breakfast Sausage
1 pound ground turkey, cold 2 drops liquid smoke 2 teaspoons salt 1-1/4 teaspoons dried sage leaves 1 teaspoon sugar 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1 teaspoon poultry seasonings 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Thoroughly mix all ingredients together. Form into 6 patties.
Cover and refrigerate for several hours to allow the flavors to permeate.
To cook: spray a non-stick frying pan with cooking spray. Add patties and cook over medium heat, turning once, until browned and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
