Maple Squares

This recipe comes right from relatives who live in Quebec, Canada. Enjoy!

1/2 c. melted butter
1 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar

Mix above three ingredients. Press into an 8 inch greased pan, bake at 350 deg. for 15 min.

2/3 cup brown sugar
1 cup maple syrup
2 beaten eggs
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. walnuts
1/2 tsp. maple flavoring
3 T. flour

Combine brown sugar and syrup in saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes . Remove. Let cool for 15 min. Then add beaten eggs and the rest of the ingredients and mix. Pour over first preparation and bake for 25 - 30 minutes ant 350 deg. Let cool and cut in squares.
