Italian Wine Cookies
1 cup butter or margarine, softened 2 cups sugar 2 egg yolks 5 cups sifted flour dash salt 2/3 cup sweet Marsala or sherry For topping before baking: 1 egg white, slightly beaten Chopped nuts
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and beat until light.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with wine and mix well. Chill.
Roll out thin on floured board and cut with 2-inch cookie cutter.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets, brush with slightly beaten egg white and sprinkle with nuts.
Bake at 325 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
