This is a recipe that I am often asked for.
ITALIAN CHEESE BALL
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened 1 (8 oz) pkg blue cheese, crumbled 1/2 cup butter, softened 2/3 cup black ripe olives, coarsely chopped 1 tbsp green onion or chives, chopped 1/3 cup chopped walnuts (garnish)
Blend the cheeses and butter together. Add ripe olives and onions or chives. Mix well together.
Roll into a ball and chill in fridge for a few hours or overnight.
Roll cheeseball in the chopped walnuts shortly before serving.
Serve with plain or vegetable crackers.
