CHERRY BON-BONS (Happy Valentines day)
3 tbsp. margarine
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch salt
3 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup nuts
1/3 cup candied cherries
Melt margarine in a 2 qt. saucepan. Remove from heat & stir in milk, vanilla & salt. Gradually add sugar. Turn onto a board sprinkled with additional powdered sugar, Knead until smooth. Add nuts and cherries, Shape into a roll, wrap in wax paper, Chill until firm. Slice 1/2 in. thick.
