HOMEMADE SESAME CRACKERS
1 cup whole-wheat flour 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 cup plain low-fat yogurt 2 Tbsp sesame seeds 1 Tbsp reduced-calorie corn oil 3/4 cup ice water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
Sift together the flours, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the yogurt.
Toast the sesame seeds in the oil and add to batter.
Mix in ice water. Knead lightly (20 strokes).
Roll to 1/8 inch thick. Cut with knife or cookie cutter. Prick all over with a fork.
Bake on cookie sheet at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes or until crackers are light brown. Cool on wire rack. They will crisp as they cool.
Store in a tightly covered container.
