PASTA LAYERS WITH A MEAT SAUCE

Before starting to cook: Prepare the pasta using our recipe for home-made pasta. Cut it in circles of about 3 inches in diameter. You may also use ready-made lasagna cut after being boiled.

20 circles of pasta
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 tablespoon of leeks finely diced
1 lb of ground pork or beef
6 tomatoes cut into quarters
1 teaspoon of oregano
Salt and ground black pepper
1 cup of white wine or water, as needed

Boil homemade pasta circles adding some salt to the water; drain and set aside.

Heat the oil in a skillet. Add the meat and saute until browned.

Add the tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper and cook until the meat is tender. While cooking, add the wine and water adjusting when necessary for desired. Adjust salt to taste.

TO SERVE:
Arrange a layer of pasta in the plate. Put some of the meat mixture on top and another layer on top. Arrange 5 layers per serving. Serve hot.
