Alice's Yummy Rolls

2 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
2 packages fast-rising yeast
2 eggs -- beaten well
1/3 cup butter or Crisco
6 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add a little sugar. Set aside.

Beat eggs until fluffy. Add rest of sugar, salt and melted butter or
shortening and mix well.

Add yeast and mix well again. Add 3 cups flour and beat until smooth.
Stir in rest of flour.

Knead 10 times; let rest 5 minutes and knead again until smooth.

Place in an oiled bowl and let rise until double. Make into rolls.

Let rise until double. Bake 20 - 25 minutes at 350 degrees F.
