BUTTERY SPRITZ COOKIES
1 1/2 cups butter, softened 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla 3 1/2 cups flour
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Beat butter with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add sugar and baking powder and beat well. Add egg and vanilla. Beat till well combined. Beat in as much flour as you can. Stir in any remaining flour with a wooden spoon. Do not chill dough.
Pack dough into a cookie press. Force dough through press onto cookie sheet (the first one or two sometimes are hard to start, but then it gets easier)
Bake 375 degrees F oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
