ROBIN HOOD BUTTER PECAN CAKE
2 1/4 cups sifted Robin Hood all-purpose flour 2/3 cup sugar 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 cup brown sugar 3/4 cup shortening 1 cup milk 3 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease 2 round cake pans.
Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl. Add brown sugar. Add shortening and 3/4 cup milk. Beat 2 minutes with mixer. Add eggs, rest of milk, and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes more. Stir in nuts. Pour into prepared cake pans.
Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes.
