OATMEAL WAFFLES OR PANCAKES
2 1/4 cups milk 1 1/2 cups oatmeal (dry or quick) 3 egg yolks 1/3 cup margarine, melted 1/2 tsp. salt 1/3 cup flour 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. vanilla Dash of nutmeg 3 egg whites
Heat milk; pour over oatmeal. Beat in the egg yolks (save the egg whites). Add melted margarine. Add salt, flour, baking powder, vanilla, nutmeg.
Beat egg whites. Fold into mixture.
Bake in a waffle pan until no steam escapes. Can be cooked on a griddle.
