MINI-MARMALADE TURNOVERS Source: Michelle in CA Yield: About 2 dozen
Note from source: I made these the other day and they are great! I got the recipe from Taste of Home. They take a bit of work, but you can make them ahead of time and even freeze them. Serve at room temperature.
1/2 cup butter (no substitutes), softened 1 jar (5 oz.) sharp American Cheese spread (I used the jalapeno kind) 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/3 cup orange marmalade or apricot preserves
In a bowl, combine butter and cheese. Add flour; stir until mixture forms a ball. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
On a floured surface, roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness; cut into 2 3/4-inch circles. Place 1/2 tsp marmalade on each circle. Fold pastry over and seal edges with a fork. Cut slits in top of pastry. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 350 degrees for 7-9 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool. Don't taste them right away! The marmalade is VERY hot!!!
