BACK COUNTRY HAM SLICESource: I Hate to Cook Cookbook by Peg BrackenServings: 3 1 lb ham slices, 3/4 inch thick 3 tablespoons fat 2 tablespoons prepared mustard 4 tablespoons brown sugar 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp paprika 1/2 cup water Fry the ham in the hot fat. Then remove it from the pan and keep it hot - in a 200 degree F oven. Pour all the other ingredient into the fat, cook 5 minutes. Put the ham back into it for another 5 minutes.
