ORANGE-PECAN BUTTER

1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup chopped toasted pecans
1 1/2 tbsp grated orange rind
1/3 cup powdered sugar (optional)
orange rind strips (for garnish)

Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy.

Add pecans, grated orange rind, and, if desired, powdered sugar. Garnish if desired.

Serve savory butter (without the powdered sugar) with rolls or over chicken or fish. Serve sweetened butter with pancakes or waffles.

Makes 1 1/4 cups
