A very tasty and popular appetizer!
MEAT SHELLS:1 pound lean ground beef, uncooked
4 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
2 tablespoons water
FILLING:1 (8-ounce) carton sour cream
2 tablespoons hot sauce
1 (4-ounce) can chopped green chiles
3/4 cup coarsely chopped tortilla chips
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
taco sauce or guacamole (for garnish)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease mini muffin pans.
TO PREPARE THE MEAT SHELLS:Combine ground beef, taco seasoning and ice water, mixing well. Make size of teaspoon and press meat mixture into bottom and sides of mini muffin pans.
TO PREPARE THE FILLING:Combine sour cream, hot sauce, green chiles and chips. Spoon filling into each shell. Top with cheese.
Bake 20 minutes. Garnish with taco sauce or guacamole.
