CARAMELIZED CRISPY SNACK MIX
9 cups Rice Chex cereal 9 cups Corn Chex cereal 2 cups packed brown sugar 1 cup Land O Lakes Butter or Margarine 1/2 cup light corn syrup 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 2 cups candy-coated milk chocolate pieces
Heat oven to 250 degrees F. Spray roasting pan with cooking spray.
Place cereals in pan; set aside.
In 3-quart saucepan, mix brown sugar, butter and corn syrup. Cook and stir 8 to 9 minutes over medium-high heat until mixture comes to a boil. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Stir in baking soda. Pour over cereal in pan; stir gently until well coated.
Bake 40 to 50 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes, until coating is set.
Cool 5 minutes; stir in candy-coated milk chocolate pieces. Spread mixture onto waxed paper. Cool 10 minutes.
Break cooled snack mix into pieces. Store in container with tight-fitting lid.
