MINT JULEP ICED TEA

8 cups water
3 tea bags
1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
1 cup sugar

In a medium saucepan, combine 4 cups of the water, the tea bags and mint leaves. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 10 minutes.

Discard tea bags and mint leaves and pour tea into a large pitcher. Add sugar and mix until dissolved. Stir in remaining 4 cups water.

Serve over ice.

NOTES:
For an adults-only kick, mix 1/4 cup bourbon into the tea just before serving.

Servings: 6
