ASHKENAZI HAROSET1 pound apples
1 1/4 cups walnuts halves
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 to 5 tablespoons sweet wine
Peel, core, and chop apples. Add walnuts and chop the mixture finely. Add cinnamon and wine and mix well. The texture should be of a coarse paste. Taste and add cinnamon or wine to taste.
Makes 4 cups
