MAPLE BAKED ONIONS

6 large sweet onions, sliced 1/2-inch thick
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

Layer onions in a greased 13x9x2-inch baking dish.

Combine syrup and butter; pour over onions.

Bake, uncovered, at 425 degrees F for 40-45 minutes or until tender.

Servings: 8-10
