PEAR-FECT SAUSAGE STUFFING

12 ounces pork sausage
1/2 cup butter
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
1 stalk celery (about 1/2 cup)
2 carrots, peeled and diced
1 onion, peeled and chopped
2 pears, peeled, cored, and diced
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can chicken broth
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
15 ounces seasoned bread stuffing

In saucepan over medium-high heat, cook sausage 2 minutes; crumble.

Add butter, mushrooms, celery, carrots, and onion; cook 10 minutes.

Add pears, broth, parsley, and poultry seasoning. Bring to a boil.

Pour over bread stuffing; stir. Spoon into 2-quart dish; cover.

Bake 15 minutes.

Uncover and bake 15 minutes more.
