SOY-GLAZED WALNUTS

2 cups raw walnut halves
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons sugar

Preheat oven to 225 degrees F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place all ingredients in large bowl and toss until nuts are well coated.

Transfer nuts to prepared sheet and arrange in single layer.

Bake, stirring occasionally, until golden, 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from oven, immediately loosen nuts with metal spatula and set aside to cool before serving.

These go great with an Asian lager. Or sprinkle on vanilla ice cream or mix into savory Asian dishes.

Makes 2 cups
