CHRISTMAS BAKED CANNED HAM

1 (7 to 8 lb) canned ham
1 (14 oz) jar cranberry-orange relish
1 tbsp dark brown sugar, firmly packed
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground cloves
orange slices (for garnish)
fresh parsley sprigs (for garnish)

If possible, have butcher remove ham from the can and cut it into 1/4-inch thick slices and then tie the slices into the original shape. (Twine 1-inch from top and 1-inch from bottom.)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Place tied ham on rack in shallow roasting pan. Bake 15 minutes per lb (about 1 3/4 to 2 hours).

Meanwhile, combine remaining ingredients except for orange slices and parsley. Spoon mixture over top of ham at 10 minute intervals the final half-hour of baking time.

Place ham on serving platter and remove twine. Garnish the platter with orange slices and parsley. Ham is ready to serve without carving. (Larger slices may be cut into 1/2 or 1/3.)

Servings: 20
