CHILI CON QUESO CASSEROLE
4 cups corn chips., coarsely crushed 1 1/4 cups chopped onion 1 tablespoon butter or margarine 1 tablespoon chopped mild green chiles or jalapeno peppers 2 tablespoons chopped green onions 2 cans (15 oz. each) Dennison's Chili Con Carne with Beans (regular or hot) 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
Line the bottom of the baking dish with the crushed corn chips; set aside.
Saute onion in butter until transparent; remove from heat and stir in peppers and green onions.
Carefully spread half the Dennison's chili over the chips. Layer half the onion mixture and 1 1/2 cups cheese. Repeat chili and onion mixture layers. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheese on top of casserole.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
