ROCKY ROAD ICE CREAM
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa 1 cup sugar 2 cups milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/8 teaspoon salt 2 cups whipping cream 1 ounce semisweet chocolate, coarsely grated 1 cup mini marshmallows 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Mix cocoa and sugar in saucepan. Gradually add milk. Stir over low heat until dissolved Cool to room temperature.
Stir in vanilla, salt and cream. Add chocolate, marshmallows and nuts. Stir well.
Freeze according to ice cream maker manufacturer’s directions. Stir after freezing.
Makes 2 quarts
