From one of my favorite cookbook authors, Susan Branch, from The Summer Book. BAKED BANANAS WITH ICE CREAMOne ripe banana per person, unpeeled Vanilla ice cream Fresh ground coffee beans Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Put bananas on cookie sheet. Bake until they turn completely black, about 20 minutes. Slit open and moosh up, same as you would with a baked potato. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a sprinkle of fresh ground coffee.
