FENNEL FOR ANTIPASTO
"This favorite Italian vegetable has an anise flavor."
Allow 1 medium fennel per serving. Trim off green stalks and tough outer stalks. Cut into wafer-thin slices. Arrange on shallow dish, barely cover with olive oil; season. For added crispness, chill at least 2 hours.
