CHOCOLATE COKE CAKE

1 (18 1/4 ounce) box chocolate cake mix
1 cup Coca-Cola
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
3 eggs
Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting (recipe follows)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 13x9-inch cake pan.

Combine cake mix, Coca-Cola, oil, water and eggs in large bowl. Beat at low speed of electric mixer until blended; beat at medium speed 2 minutes. Pour batter into prepared pan. Tap pan several times on countertop to release air bubbles.

Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely.

Place cake on serving plate and frost top with Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting. Garnish, if desired.

CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
(Makes about 1 1/2 cups frosting)

4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine sifted powdered sugar and cocoa in large bowl; set aside.

Beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla in large bowl until smooth. Gradually fold powdered sugar mixture into cream cheese mixture.

Makes 12 servings
