BASIC CREAM SOUP
1 cup milk 1/2 cup cream 1 cup chicken bouillon or broth 3 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons flour 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon dry sherry* (optional) 1 cup of any of the following leftovers: cooked broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, lima beans, corn, green beans or mixed vegetables, sliced raw or cooked carrots.
Place all ingredients into blender container. Cover. Blend at low speed for 2 seconds and advance to medium for 30 seconds.
Empty mixture into saucepan and heat until hot throughout, approximately 5 minutes. Serve.
*Sherry may be added before blending or just at serving time.
