Honeydew Melon in Ginger Sauce
1/2 cup ginger preserves or marmalade 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 1 large ripe honeydew melon, well chilled
In a small saucepan, combine the 1/2 cup ginger preserves and the 2 tablespoons lemon juice and heat over medium-low heat until the preserves are melted.
Cut the melon into 6 wedges; remove and discard seeds. Place on chilled dessert plates. Or, peel, cut into 1-inch pieces, and mound on chilled dessert plates.
Drizzle the warm ginger sauce over the chilled melon and serve at once. |
