APPLE RAISIN CRUNCH

FOR THE FILLING:
2 pounds Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, sliced (about 5 1/2 cups)*
1/2 cups raisins
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
FOR THE TOPPING:
1/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
3/4 cup uncooked quick-cooking oats
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons light margarine, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8-inch square baking pan with high sides with vegetable oil spray.

TO MAKE THE FILLING:
Combine apples, raisins, orange juice and sugar in prepared pan. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

TO MAKE THE TOPPING:
In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients and stir well. Sprinkle evenly over fruit.

Bake in preheated oven 40 minutes, or until done. Let cool slightly before serving.

*Two cans (20 ounces each), unsweetened sliced apples can be substituted.

Makes 6 servings
