Shaped like an Apple Cheeseball From: Jane Newsgroup: alt.cooking-chien Date: 11-4-99
One of our PTA members made this and brought it up to school for the teachers to enjoy. It was a real hit! 15 minutes to make--2 hours to chill
8 oz. white cheddar cheese (Cracker Barrel makes this--find it in the deli section) 1 (8 oz) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1 tsp. garlic powder 1/8 tsp. ground red pepper paprika 1 1/2 inch cinnamon stick 1 bay leaf
Process first 4 ingredients in a food processor until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides. Chill 30 minutes. Shape mixture into a ball, and make an indention in the top to resemble an apple. Chill ball 30 minutes. Coat ball heavily with paprika; cover and chill 1 hour. Insert cinnamon stick and bay leaf into indentation to resemble apple stem and leaf. Serve with assorted crackers. |
