French Hamburger Loaf

1 loaf French bread
1 (6-oz.) can tomato paste
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 to 3 tbsp. sliced olives
1 tsp. salt
black pepper to taste
1 1/2 lb. hamburger
tomato slices
cheese slices

Cut bread in half lengthwise. Combined remaining ingredients except tomato and cheese slices; mix well. Spread meat mixture over both halves of bread. Broil about 4 inches from flame 8 to 1- minutes until meat is done. Top with alternating slices of tomatoes and cheese. Return to broiler and broil until cheese melts. Cut into portions and serve immediately.
