Party Cookies

Makes 6 dozen

1 cup shortening or butter (I use butter)
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2-1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1-1/2 cups plain M&M's

Heat oven to 375. Beat sugars, shortening in large bowl until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add combined flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup candies drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Press 2 or 3 additional candies in each cookie. Bake 10-12 minutes
