Miniature Jam Tarts

2/3 cup butter -- softened
1 3 ounce package cream cheese -- softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup Smucker's jam or preserves -- any flavor
48 Diamond pecan halves -- toasted

Combine butter and cream cheese in large mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed until well mixed. Add brown sugar; beat until well mixed. Add vanilla and egg; beat until mixed. Reduce speed to low; add flour. Beat until dough forms. Shape dough into ball; wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours or until firm.

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Divide dough into 48 pieces. Roll into 1 inch balls; press into greased mini- muffin tins forming depression in each. Spoon scant teaspoon jam into each cup. Place pecan on each. Bake 12 to 16 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven; let stand 15 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool on wire racks.
