Buttermilk Bread (bread machine)

2 pound loaf
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon butter
3 cups bread flour
2 teaspoons yeast (2 1/2 teaspoons in winter)

Place ingredients in bread machine in listed order. Prepare using white bread course with the desired crust setting.

Makes wonderful bread for toast, sandwiches, etc. and the leftover bread can be cubed for great croutons.
