Cheese Scones rec.food.cooking/Pat Churchill
2 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking powder pinch salt pinch cayenne pepper 1 cup grated cheddar 1 cup milk extra cheese
Sift the dry ingredients. Stir in the cheese. Make a well in the centre and stir in the milk with a knife. Mix lightly. Turn onto a floured board and pat out into a rectangle. Cut into squares. Top each with a thin slice of cheese. Bake at 450 for 10-12 minutes.
