Snowstorm Squash Pie alt.food/Janette Chantler
1 3/4 cup strained, mashed, cooked squash 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon ginger 3 eggs 1 1/2 cups milk 1 tablespoon butter 1 (9-inch) pie shell, unbaked
Combine squash, sugar, salt cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger in bowl. Blend in eggs, milk and butter; mix well. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 400 degrees 50 minutes or until knife inserted 1-inch from pie's edge comes out clean. Serve slightly warm or cold. |
