Chile Relleno Puffs rec.food.cooking/Ladibugz77 Makes 36 appetizers
1/4 cup butter (room temperature) 1 1/4 cups flour 2 cups Monterey jack cheese, shredded 1 4 oz. can diced green chilies, drained 1/8 tsp. garlic powder 2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 375F. Combine butter and flour in a food processor bowl or blender container; process until well mixed. Add Monterey Jack cheese, chilies and garlic powder; process until well mixed. Form dough into 3/4-inch balls; roll in Parmesan cheese.
To make ahead: Place on a baking sheet & freeze until firm. Place in freezer bag. They can be stored up to 2 weeks. When ready to be made, place on greased baking sheet. Bake in 375F oven for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
