Spicy Cheddar with Bacon Pasta Sauce rec.food.cooking/sgjg6566
2 tbsp butter 1 3/4 pound bacon, cut into chunks 3 1/2 cups heavy cream 1 3/4 pound grated sharp cheddar cheese 1 tbsp Dijon mustard salt and pepper to taste
Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Add bacon and saute until crisp, about 7 minutes. Drain bacon on paper towels, and pour off all but 1 tsp grease from pan. Add cream to the pan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Add cheese; stir until it melts and thickens the sauce. Season with salt and pepper; pour over hot pasta and sprinkle the bacon over the top.
